Mission Statement

The Mission of the United States Consulate General in Bermuda is five-fold:

1)    To serve Americans living in and visiting Bermuda, and to help Bermudians and foreign nationals who wish to visit the United States

2)    To promote greater understanding and a rich, positive dialogue between the Bermudian people in all walks of life and their American counterparts

3)    To encourage the Government of Bermuda to continue to strengthen the Island’s long-term commitment to good governance, free markets, racial reconciliation, and justice and equal opportunity for all its citizens, and to promote these ideals directly wherever and whenever possible.

4)    To promote American business interests in Bermuda – and to facilitate wherever possible mutually profitable joint U.S./Bermuda business opportunities

5)      To do all of the above as efficiently and effectively as possible on behalf of the United States taxpayer and always in accord with applicable State Department policies and guidelines.
