Registering with the Consulate

The Consulate encourages all American citizens residing in Bermuda to register with the Consular Section.  Registration is not required, but it is strongly recommended.

To register with the Consulate please bring:

Registering proof of your citizenship with the Consulate will make it easier to apply for a replacement passport should yours be lost or stolen.  Under the U.S. Privacy Act, information on your whereabouts will not be released without your authorization.

Additionally, you can register your trip or residence abroad through the State Department's Travel Registration website.

Please note: that registering on-line does not satisfy proof of citizenship requirements, while registering at the Consulate does. Also, registering with the Consulate does not mean that you are registering to vote. This is a separate process, for more information please visit our Voter Registration Section.
