BERMUDA WARDEN MESSAGE
September 8, 2006
The United States Consulate General in Hamilton advises American citizens throughout Bermuda to review their emergency preparedness as Tropical Storm Florence approaches. Local authorities are monitoring the development of the storm, and while it is hard to predict the storm’s exact path, the expectation is that Florence will attain hurricane strength and pass close enough to Bermuda to affect local conditions.
The Consulate General will be closed to the public on Monday, September 11, and open for emergency services for American citizens only on Tuesday, September 12, conditions permitting. These times are subject to change without prior notice if circumstances require. American citizens in need of after-hours emergency assistance may call the duty officer at telephone 1-441-335-3828.
